Welcome to www.seattleawis.org, the official Website of the Seattle Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS). We are committed to protecting your privacy and want to make sure that you understand that your membership information will be handled with the utmost care.
Personal Information
You do not have to identify yourself or provide personal information unless you choose. You decide the amount of personal information you provide to us. Any and all information collected on this site will be kept confidential and will not be sold, rented, loaned, or otherwise disclosed without your permission.
We do collect information about you when you register with us for our events, to receive our email newsletters or when you join as a chapter member through the National AWIS website. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete surveys, provide feedback, and use our website contact forms. Website usage information is collected using cookies.
While we do not monitor your personal activity on our site, we do track aggregated, anonymous user data to evaluate the effectiveness of our website and help us improve our service. For example, we may compile statistics about our daily number of site visitors or specific page requests. This data is generic in nature and contains no personal information.
