About the Speaker:
Alyssa has a master’s degree in marine biology and has been an educator, researcher, and diver with the Seattle Aquarium for 8 years. Her work and studies have taken her all over the world, from subarctic to tropical ecosystems. While her specialties are research SCUBA diving and climate change impacts on kelp forest ecology, she has worked on a wide variety of research and conservation projects, from microplastics to sea otters and everything in between.
